Questions About Our Services
Everything you need to know before booking your first session.
What types of therapy do your counselors use?
Our therapists are trained in a range of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and trauma-focused approaches. Treatment is always tailored to your individual needs.
Can trauma therapy be done online?
Yes. Research supports the effectiveness of online trauma therapy, including EMDR delivered via telehealth. Our therapists are experienced with virtual trauma-focused care and will walk you through how to prepare for safe and effective online sessions.
How long are therapy sessions?
Standard individual sessions are 50 minutes. Couples and family sessions may run slightly longer depending on needs. We offer weekly and bi-weekly scheduling options.
Do you work with children and teens?
Yes. We provide therapy for children and adolescents, including play therapy approaches for younger clients. Our therapists are trained to engage young people in ways that feel safe, age-appropriate, and effective.
What's the difference between individual and group therapy?
Individual therapy is a private, one-on-one relationship between you and your therapist. Group therapy involves a small number of clients working together under a therapist's guidance, and it is particularly powerful for social anxiety, grief, addiction recovery, and isolation. Many clients benefit from both at different stages.
Do you offer addiction counseling for the whole family?
Yes. Addiction affects the whole family system. We offer both individual addiction counseling and family-inclusive support sessions to address codependency, communication, and collective healing alongside the person in recovery.
